Chris Frear is a freelance editorial photographer I've been following on flickr for a few years his work is heavily focused around portraits and people vocations.
I find his portraits very interesting as he tends to shoot on location which gives you a lot more clues about the person involved. They are more often than not at work as he is very fascinated by tradition and the way modern society is phasing out manual labour and skill based jobs.
Although he is shooting mostly portraits they are in a very documentary style. I find them really interesting because they are different from how most photographers would shoot, he focuses on the environment his subjects are in as much as the subjects themselves.
I think I'm going to try out a similar style for my work and try and combine shots of car enthusiasts with there car rather than separate shots of each as I feel this would connect the project much better.
